Trekking bikes have always been at the forefront of the Dawes range. They can be used for daily commutes, trips to the shops and leisurely rides around the countryside. If you're looking for a bike to ride on a daily basis on tarmac roads or towpaths then don't fall into the mountain bike trap, mountain bikes are designed with frames and gears suitable for riding over uneven terrain meaning that on those smooth roads you will be spinning away on the pedals and getting nowhere fast. Also if the weather takes a turn for the worst then you will find yourself with a nice wet stripe up your back.

Our trekking bikes are designed to give maximum output with minimum input when travelling around town. They also feature key components such as full mudguards to keep you dry, adjustable stems and comfort saddles to help prevent aches and pains whilst riding and rear racks to enable you to carry panniers when out on those longer rides.

The Mojave is one of our most popular trekking bikes and features a lightweight alloy frame and steel unicrown forks. The Mojave comes complete with 21 speed Shimano EZ-Fire gears and a Shimano chainwheel. It also comes fitted with adjustable stem, Alex ZC1000 alloy rims, Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres, chromoplastic mudguards and rear carrier.
